1st look photos: ‘Into the Badlands’ Season 2

AMC is giving fans another peek into the second season of Into the Badlands, and we’ve got your first look at new images from the first three episodes. The photos give a hint of the action to come.

An imprisoned Sunny (Daniel Wu) fights for his life and freedom. But don’t let the yoke fool you—his feet still are free. Sunny is determined to fight his way back into the Badlands to find his family or die trying.

The Colt has it better off than the Clipper does. M.K. (Aramis Knight) is at least able to train where he’s been held as he learns to control his powers.

The Widow (Emily Beecham) continues to consolidate power against the other barons. We see two equally ruthless sides of her in the photos—warrior and business woman. Her main henchwoman, Tilda (Ally Ionnides), readies an attack in her mother’s name.

Ryder (Oliver Stark), now with Jade (Sarah Bolger), plots their next action against The Widow and other barons.

Other photos show Lydia (Orla Brady), Ryder’s mother, and Waldo (Stephen Lang), a retired clipper who still has formidable fighting skills. Nick Frost joins the cast as Bajie, who becomes an unlikely ally for Sunny in his journey back to the Badlands.

Season 2 of “Badlands” begins at 10/9c March 19 on AMC.
