‘Walking Dead’ Season 6 key art drops

Although fans currently are fearing the walking dead, they’re really waiting for the Season 6 premiere of “The Walking Dead.” AMC on Wednesday released the official key art for the new season.

The art features series star Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes, who holds a revolver in one hand and what might be a walkie-talkie in the other. Maybe it’s a detonator; see all that smoke behind Rick? Maybe things are getting rough in Alexandria and Rick had to take action. (If you make it out as something else, please leave me a nice comment.)

A new Season 6 photo shows Rick and Morgan Jones (Lennie James) walking near Father Gabriel’s church. They’re looking at each other a bit suspiciously, which suggests more friction between the two potential leaders of Alexandria. I’ve included that photo below with other images from Season 6, including some of the walkers fans will see.

In Season 6, Lincoln and James are joined by cast members Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, Alanna Masterson, Christian Serratos, Josh McDermitt, Seth Gilliam, Tovah Feldshuh, Ross Marquand, Alexandra Breckenridge and Austin Nichols.

“The Walking Dead” is executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Showrunner Scott M. Gimple, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse.

The 90-minute premiere of “The Walking Dead” begins at 8 p.m. CST Oct. 11 on AMC. After taking Labor Day weekend off, “Fear the Walking Dead” returns at 8 p.m. Sept. 13. Check out the trailer below.
