AMC is revving up for the June 12 premiere of Ride with Norman Reedus by releasing key art for the non-fiction series.
“The Walking Dead” star Reedus sits on his motorcycle in the photo. He’s wearing what he always seems to have on as his TWD character Daryl Dixon—sunglasses and a leather jacket.
In “Ride with Norman Reedus,” the motorcycle enthusiast will ride around the U.S. with his friends and some famous guest stars, including Peter Fonda, Robert Rodriguez and Balthazar Getty.
The shows sounds like the lite version of the 2004 doc “Long Way Round,” in which Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman rode their bikes 19,000 miles from London to New York City. They visited 13 countries: Britain, France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Canada and the U.S.
Reedus and his pals won’t go to that extreme. They’ll ride in North Carolina, Florida, California, Nevada, Texas and Louisiana, where they will hang out with locals who share his enthusiasm for biker culture. They’ll visit custom bike shops, tattoo parlors, collector’s warehouses and a roadside smokehouse as they celebrate bike collectors, mechanics and craftsmen.
Fans might want to tune in to “Ride,” as Daryl could be gone when “The Walking Dead” returns in the fall. Did Negan bring his bat, Lucille, down on Daryl’s head? We have to wait until October to find out.
“Ride with Norman Reedus” debuts at 10/9c June 12 on NBC. Below is the full key art.
