Dylan Bruce is back, baby! BBC America has released the first four minutes of the Orphan Black Season 4 premiere and it delivers a couple surprises.
This season the show goes back to its beginnings to examine how Detective Beth Childs (Tatiana Maslany) investigated the LEDA clones before she offed herself in front of her clone sister Sarah Manning (also Maslany). The new season of “Orphan Black” launches at 10/9c April 14 on BBC America.
In the first four minutes we meet a new clone, MK (Maslany again—listen, Maslany plays all the LEDA clones), who digs her sheep mask. (I think it’s a sheep, no?) She witnesses a couple of kissing EMTs burying a wrapped body, then calls Beth and sends her map coordinates.
When Beth sits up in bed, so does Paul Dierden (Bruce)! Clone Club members know Paul as Beth’s boyfriend/monitor for baddie clone Rachel Duncan. Turns out he was even more than that, um, before he died—but I digress. Anyway, always nice to see Dylan Bruce shirtless on TV, no?
Here’s more from BBC America’s latest press release:
“In a season where the sisters will have to go back to the beginning, fans will find the clones, and those who love them, as clueless about their fate as we first met them in season one. They now know what they are, who created them, and who was trying to destroy them; but what if everything they thought they knew, was a misdirect? What if they were sent down the wrong rabbit hole? What if they missed a crucial chapter of the mystery? When Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) returns home from her Icelandic hideout to track down an elusive new clone tied to Beth (Maslany), she and her sisters will band together to uncover the truth, no matter who they have to hurt in the process.”

A new “Orphan Black” after-show, unfortunately titled “After the Black,” will air at 11/10c after each episode of the new season. The April 14 episode features Tatiana Maslany and Kevin Hanchard.
