‘Outlander’ preview: Lallybroch homecoming

Now that Claire has escaped the witch barbecue, she and Jamie find their way to his family home, Lallybroch, in the upcoming episode of “Outlander.”

“Lallybroch” debuts at 8 p.m. April 25 on Starz, and finds Jamie (Sam Heughan) and his sister, Jenny (Laura Donnelly), at odds when old wounds are reopened. As you can tell from the preview above, Jenny and her hubby, Ian Murray (Steven Cree), wonder if the Laird’s return will be permanent.

Oh families, sometimes you just wish they’d keep their distance. On a happier note—maybe—Jenny and Ian are expecting a child.

Before we check out scenes from Episode 112 below, how about last week’s episode, “The Devil’s Mark?” Claire was saved from being burned as a witch by her pal Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek), who claimed she was the witch and had bedeviled Claire.

Turns out she wasn’t a witch at all, just another time-traveling Sassenach like Claire, although Geillis traveled even farther—from 1968. I bet she was a flower child. By showing off her “devil’s mark”—her vaccination scar—she not only cleared Claire but also told her friend that they had more in common than Claire realized.

Talk about waiting way too long to reveal your secrets.

Claire had some explaining to do to Jamie, who said he had seen the same “devils mark” on Claire’s arm. She spilled her entire story to him, and he took her to the time-traveling stone but she came back to him.

Now they’re off to Lallybroch, but their troubles aren’t over yet. The videos and photos below preview the upcoming episode.

Outlander Ep. 112: Rumors video

Jamie tells Claire about the rumors surrounding his sister, Jenny, and her baby. Does Blackjack Randall (Tobias Menzies) have to ruin everything in Jamie’s life?

Outlander Ep. 112: Laird and Lady video

Jamie tries to get Claire to behave more like a Lady—as in the Laird’s wife—while they are at Lallybroch. FYI, Jamie is Lallybroch’s Laird.

Outlander Ep. 112: Quarter Day video

Ian toasts Jamie and says Quarter Day will be a great chance to celebrate the Laird’s return. Claire isn’t so sure. (And really, who is Ian kidding? He’s not happy to have Jamie back.)
